Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Bongo Bites. By creating an account or using any part of our service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. Who We Are

Bongo Bites is a home-cooked meal subscription and on-demand meal ordering service operating in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We prepare fresh, home-style meals and deliver them to your doorstep. Our goal is simple — to make sure you never have to worry about what to eat.

2. Who Can Use Bongo Bites

You may use Bongo Bites if:

  • You are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you may only use the platform with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You provide accurate personal information during registration — including your real name, phone number, and delivery address.
  • You have a valid bKash or Nagad mobile banking account for payment, or sufficient Bongo Bites wallet balance.
  • You are located within one of our active delivery zones.

We reserve the right to suspend or refuse service to anyone who does not meet these conditions or who misuses the platform in any way.

3. Account Registration

When you register on Bongo Bites, you agree to:

  • Provide your correct phone number or email for OTP verification.
  • Set an accurate delivery address, including a live location pin on the map, so we can deliver to the right place.
  • Keep your account login details private. Do not share your account with anyone else.
  • Notify us immediately at prorasikul@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You are fully responsible for all activity that takes place under your account, including orders placed and subscriptions activated.

4. Our Services

Bongo Bites offers the following services:

Subscription Plans

  • Monthly Plan — 30 days of meals (lunch, dinner, or both). Payment in advance.
  • Weekly Plan — 7 days of meals. Payment in advance.
  • Daily Plan — Single-day order based on the day's menu. Order must be placed before the stated cutoff time.

Current prices are displayed on the Packages page. We reserve the right to update prices at any time, with at least 5 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Pay As You Go Wallet Any registered user can recharge their Bongo Bites wallet (minimum ৳100) using bKash or Nagad, and use the balance to purchase any meal or subscription plan. Wallet balance may also be received as pause credits or referral bonuses (see Sections 5 and 9).

5. Subscription Management

Pause You may pause your lunch, dinner, or both independently at any time through your dashboard. The monetary value of each paused meal is credited directly to your Bongo Bites wallet balance. You can use this credit to purchase future meals or subscriptions, or withdraw it at any time.

  • Maximum pause limit: 15 days per calendar month.
  • Pause requests must be submitted before the meal cutoff time. Requests submitted after the cutoff take effect from the following meal.

Resume Your subscription resumes automatically when the pause period ends. You will receive a notification one day before resumption.

Cancellation You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, unused days are refunded proportionally to your original bKash or Nagad account, minus a 10% processing fee. Refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.

6. Payments

All payments on Bongo Bites are processed through bKash or Nagad mobile banking, or using your Bongo Bites Wallet balance. After completing a bKash/Nagad payment, you must submit your transaction ID on the platform. Your subscription will be activated once our team verifies the payment.

Important notes:

  • Bongo Bites does not store your bKash or Nagad PIN or any sensitive financial credentials.
  • We are not responsible for payment failures caused by network issues, insufficient balance, or errors on your end.
  • Payments made from one account cannot be transferred to another.

7. Bongo Bites Wallet

Your Bongo Bites wallet is a digital balance account that holds funds for use across the platform. Your wallet balance may come from:

  • Manual top-ups via bKash or Nagad (minimum ৳100 per top-up).
  • Pause credits — when you pause a meal, its value is credited to your wallet.
  • Referral bonuses — when a friend you referred purchases a monthly subscription.

Using wallet balance: You may use your wallet balance to purchase any available meal plan or subscription package.

Withdrawing wallet balance: You may withdraw your wallet balance to your bKash or Nagad account at any time. A fixed service fee of ৳10 is deducted per withdrawal. Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours of submission.

Bongo Bites is not responsible for funds lost due to incorrect bKash/Nagad account numbers provided at the time of withdrawal. Always double-check your account number before submitting a withdrawal request.

8. Delivery

We aim to deliver all meals within the scheduled delivery window. Delivery times may vary depending on traffic, weather, and order volume.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring someone is available at the delivery address.
  • Keeping your delivery address and location pin accurate.
  • Providing clear delivery instructions if needed.

If you are not available when we arrive and the meal cannot be delivered, it will be considered as delivered for that day. No refund or credit will be issued.

Bongo Bites is not responsible for food quality deterioration if the meal is left unattended after delivery.

9. Referral Program

Bongo Bites offers a referral bonus of ৳300 per successful referral, subject to the following conditions:

  • The person you refer must register on Bongo Bites using your referral code.
  • The referred person must purchase a monthly subscription for the referral to qualify. Daily or weekly subscriptions do not count.
  • The ৳300 bonus is credited to your Bongo Bites wallet balance upon confirmation of the referred person's qualifying purchase.
  • The bonus can be used to purchase meals/subscriptions or withdrawn at any time (subject to the ৳10 withdrawal fee).
  • There is no cap on the number of referrals. You earn ৳300 for every qualifying referral.
  • Bongo Bites reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue the referral program at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Any attempt to manipulate the referral system — including self-referral or creating fake accounts — will result in account suspension and forfeiture of all bonuses.

10. Food Allergies and Dietary Preferences

You may indicate dietary preferences in your profile settings (e.g., no fish, less spice, no onion). We will do our best to accommodate your preferences, but we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free kitchen or meal environment.

If you have a severe or life-threatening food allergy, please contact us at prorasikul@gmail.com before subscribing to discuss whether our service is appropriate for you.

11. Prohibited Conduct

By using Bongo Bites, you agree that you will not:

  • Provide false information at registration or any other point of using the platform.
  • Attempt to manipulate the pause, wallet, referral, credit, or cancellation system to gain unfair advantages.
  • Create multiple accounts to exploit the referral or promotional system.
  • Use the platform for any purpose that is illegal under the laws of Bangladesh.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, or redistribute any part of the Bongo Bites website or application.
  • Threaten, harass, or be abusive toward our staff, delivery personnel, or other users.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, permanent banning, and forfeiture of any wallet balance or subscription credits — with no refund.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on Bongo Bites — including the logo, name, website design, menu content, and written materials — is the intellectual property of Bongo Bites. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any of this content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

Bongo Bites will not be held liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our service.
  • Delivery delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, such as traffic, flooding, strikes, or internet outages.
  • Health issues arising from undisclosed allergies, pre-existing medical conditions, or improper handling of food after delivery.
  • Loss of wallet balance due to incorrect withdrawal account information provided by the user.

In any case, our maximum liability will not exceed the total amount you paid for the relevant subscription period.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that period means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes will be resolved through the appropriate courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
