  • Delivery address and live location pin — used to ensure your meals reach the right place at the right time.
  • Dietary preferences and meal customizations — such as no fish, less spice, or no onion, stored in your profile.
  • Payment transaction IDs — the bKash or Nagad reference numbers you submit after completing a payment.
  • bKash or Nagad account numbers — provided when you submit a wallet withdrawal request.
  • Profile photo — if you choose to upload one. Stored in our secure file storage.
  • Messages you send to our support team — including ticket submissions and emails.

Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Device type and browser information — such as whether you are using a phone or computer, and which browser.
  • IP address — used to understand the general region you are accessing from.
  • Pages you visit and actions you take — such as which packages you viewed, when you placed an order, or payment history.
  • Session duration and usage patterns — used to improve the platform.

Information from Third Parties:

  • Referral data — if you were referred by another user, or if you referred someone else, we record that relationship to track and reward referrals correctly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to run the service properly and keep improving it. Specifically:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process and confirm your subscription payments and wallet top-ups.
  • Deliver meals to the correct address at the right time.
  • Process wallet withdrawal requests and send funds to your bKash or Nagad account.
  • Track referral relationships and credit referral bonuses.
  • Credit pause refunds to your wallet balance.
  • Send you notifications about your order status, delivery updates, and account activity.
  • Respond to your support tickets and customer service requests.
  • Understand how our platform is being used so we can fix problems and add useful features.
  • Send you promotional messages — but only if you have opted in to receive them.
  • Comply with legal obligations when required.

We do not use your data for automated profiling, targeted advertising through third-party networks, or selling insights to other businesses.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

We share your information only in the following limited situations:

With Delivery Personnel: Your name, delivery address, and order details are shared with our delivery staff to complete your delivery. They are not permitted to use this information for any other purpose.

For Payment Verification and Withdrawals: The transaction reference number you submit is used internally to confirm your payment. Your bKash or Nagad account number is used solely to process your withdrawal request.

With Service Providers: We use a small number of trusted third-party tools to help us run the platform — such as hosting providers, email delivery services (Brevo), and database services (Supabase). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.

When Required by Law: We may disclose your personal data if required to do so by Bangladeshi law, a court order, or a legitimate request from a government authority.

4. Location Data

When you register, you are asked to pin your delivery location on a map. This location is stored securely and used only to ensure accurate meal delivery.

We do not continuously track your real-time location. Location data is used only during the active delivery of your order.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days.

Payment transaction records and wallet history may be retained longer for accounting and tax compliance purposes. In those cases, the data is stored securely and not used for any other purpose.

6. Your Rights

Access — You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time.

Correction — If any information in your account is inaccurate, you can update it from your profile settings or ask us to correct it.

Deletion — You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from your account settings.

Opt-Out — You can turn off promotional notifications at any time from your notification settings.

Data Portability — You can request a copy of your data in a readable format.

8. Children's Privacy

Bongo Bites is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will delete that data immediately.
